30 weeks - Baby No. 2 :)

I can't believe I'm hitting the 30 week mark this week! With Spring Training right around the corner, things are starting to get busier and busier and time is flying by. I can't wait to meet our little guy! :)

Total weight gain: I finally did it... stepped on a scale and checked numbers. I'm up about 24 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Mostly, but lovin' the non maternity tunics.
Sleep: Hit or miss. Can't get comfortable and up to use the bathroom at least two times a night.
Best moment of the week: Taking time for a pedicure. The relaxation was just what I needed!
Movement: TONS. I know for a fact I didn't feel Abby move around this much. Does this mean he's a big boy?!
Food cravings: Not sure if I have been craving it but I sure have been enjoying Sunni Bunni. A local organic frozen yogurt place. Even Abby asks for the "Bunny Hop."
Gender: BOY!
What I miss: Sleep. Eating without heartburn.
What I'm looking forward to: Doctors appointment this week & of course our Super Bowl party :)
Things I've been experiencing this week: Lower back pain (I remember this happening with Abby around this time), heartburn continues, and the kicks becoming a bit more intense and uncomfortable.
Size of baby: Butternut Squash

Pinterest Addict

I know I'm not the only one when I say I'm completely obsessed with Pinterest. Maybe even a bit addicted, but we won't go there. I debated accepting an invite to Pinterest for a few months knowing that once I started, I wouldn't be able to stop pinning! The invite sat in my inbox and kept tempting me until I finally gave in and here I am. Obsessed. Addicted.

My favorite part about Pinterest is finding new recipes to try and so I feel like at least my hubby is getting something from my time spent pinning. He enjoys trying out new things and I feel like I'm putting decent meals on the table. We've found a few that we really like and a few that were okay but needed some tweaking.

I'm also into the DIY crafts, especially for the kids. All these ideas are quite creative, inexpensive, and easy for the most part.

Yesterday I decided to run out and grab materials to make a horse on a stick. I found the tutorial on Pinterest a few weeks ago and knew at some point I would give it a try. Abby loves playing with her friends' horsies and lately has been using her blanket as a horse, so I figured why not? I was feeling crafty and actually had some down time, so why not take advantage?

Meet the horse. :)

Abby was excited to ride her horse all around the house. Max trailed her most of the time, trying to figure out her new toy. Too cute.

Unfortunately I didn't get too many pictures because she was running way too fast with that thing. Most of my shots turned out like the one below. But ... she was happy and totally loving her new toy.

And I'm loving my newest obsession ... already looking for my next project :)

"Welcome to Baltimore ... Current Temperature 38 degrees"

Our family spent the past weekend in Baltimore, where the temperature stayed below 40 degrees while we were there. Brrr! It was definitely a change coming from our warm, above average temperatures in Florida.

It was a quick trip and it kind of felt like we landed and then were ready to take off again. We kept ourselves busy visiting with my family, looking for a rental for this baseball season, enjoying a night out with our Orioles family, and Jim spent his Saturday doing the Fan Fest thing.

Jim and I were able to have some couple time at an Orioles event Friday night, while Abby had some quality time with the fam. We had such a good time catching up with our O's family. It's hard to believe that Spring Training is right around the corner, which means the start of baseball season will be underway in no time. Thankfully we were lucky enough to find a rental while visiting Baltimore and I'm so relieved to not be stressing over finding a place any longer. I'm really happy with what we decided on and look forward to our time in Baltimore. :)

Jim did Fan Fest on Saturday and was quite busy with media, picture taking, signing autographs, and other hands on activities with the fans. While he was doing his thing, I spent the day inside with family. It was too cold for me to brave the outdoors! We had such a great visit and I am so glad our whole family made the trip.

I wish I would have taken more pictures but I didn't even travel with a camera, so my cell phone was all I had ....

It was so cold outside that I decided to stay inside and take pictures of the snow from the windows. Needless to say I didn't even get a picture of my parents house, only the neighbors ....

So pretty, just too cold!

We landed back home in Florida on Sunday, just in time for an evening of football. Abby spent some cuddle time with her Daddy watching the Ravens game. A disappointing loss .... but a Giants win would later make up for that!!

GO GIANTS!!!
As Abby would say, "Go Blue!"

Sometimes I just need to ramble ...

Good morning! It's early ... early for me and Abby considering she usually sleeps in for us. Lately she has been getting up quite a bit earlier and I sure hope this isn't the new routine. I guess it's not too bad anyways, I'll trade the extra hour for some cuddle time with my sweet girl, hot cocoa, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. :)

I don't have any pictures or eventful news to share, just thought I'd take some time to catch everyone up with our family.

Over the weekend, we had dinner with friends Friday night. It's great having friends close by .. definitely makes spur of the moment dinners easy!

On Saturday, Abby had her second gymnastics class. She seemed excited to go back and we talked about her teacher over and over on the way there. Then we showed up and the teacher she had the week before was not there. This threw Abby for a loop leaving her more nervous, unsure, and wanted reassurance that Mommy was right there. So I did the class with her and after awhile, she let loose and had a great time. The biggest trick of the class was walking across the uneven bars. Such a challenge, but she did it!

Then Sunday started off with church and ended with football, food, and friends. Go Giants!

Well the whining from waking up early is starting to kick in. Time for some breakfast so we can get ourselves put together for our playdate this morning. I promise to get more pictures on here soon, I'm dusting off the camera today!! :)

** Update: Abby just pooped on the potty! YAY!!! She has been in big girl panties for almost a week and a half now and hasn't had any accidents with pee pee, but hasn't been successful with going poopy on the potty. We just danced, high fived, and ate some M&M's for the first poop! Let's hope she keeps it up!! :) Wahoo!!!

27 Weeks ... Baby No. 2 :)

Total weight gain: I'm going to check with my doc tomorrow. It will be my first time looking at the scale this whole pregnancy!
Maternity clothes: Mostly ... still wearing some non maternity tanks and tunic tops.
Sleep: Getting less and less. I need to start going to sleep earlier at night before I get a second wind. Baby moves A LOT at night.
Best moment of the week: Abby randomly telling someone that Mommy had a baby in her belly. Cutest. thing. ever.
Movement: All the time ... he's quite a busy boy!
Food cravings: Nothing new ...
Gender: BOY!
What I miss: Sleeping on my belly
What I'm looking forward to: Doctors appointment tomorrow, although not looking forward to drinking that sugary stuff!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Constant heartburn. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat anymore, it's just always with me!
Size of baby: Eggplant/Cauliflower

Never too young ...

After watching how much spunk and energy comes out of Abby on a daily basis, the hubs and I decided it was time for Abby to try gymnastics. We found a place that came highly recommended, had just opened a few months back, and luckily had space for Abby to join a class.

This past Saturday was Abby's first go at the gymnastics thing... and of course, she loved it. She is starting in the three year old class even though she is just two and a half since the class had open spaces and the time slot worked out better for us. To be honest, I was a bit nervous at first ... and will still be this Saturday. Abby being the youngest leaves me to worry a bit. Will she disrupt the class? Will she listen and do what she is asked to do? Will she pee all over the place since we are in full swing potty training mode and wearing only undies?

Well as much as I worried about these things last class, Abby showed us she can hang with the older crew. Sure, she didn't always want to sit on her orange carpet square, but for the most part she listened and waited for her turn to come around. It may actually teach her some patience, which will come in handy when Baby Brother arrives.

Abby practiced her forward rolls, trampoline tricks, bar, balance beam, and even a backwards roll with the help of her teacher. After a forty five minute class, we came home with one tired little girl who was ready for a nap! Looking forward to this Saturday for more fun! :)
