10 months!

It's hard to believe that little man is ten months old now.  I know it's the same story each month, but I'll say it again ... Levi is changing so much and changing so fast.  It's just crazy, but we are loving every minute of it!

At ten months ...

- Weighs 22 pounds (75th percentile for weight) and is 30.25 inches tall (95th percentile for height).

- Has four teeth (2 top, 2 bottom) and is working on two more.

- Crawling everywhere, cruising along furniture, and climbing over anything that stands in his way.

- Pulling up on anything and just learned that kitchen cabinets open.  Yikes!

- Talking nonstop.  "Da Da" is still a favorite, but trying to say "dog."  Love the babbling... I babble right back.  :)

- Eating more table foods and loves to feed himself.  Seems to like almost anything.  We got the go ahead to start whole milk and we'll be trying this weekend!

- Loves his big sister and Max is his new buddy.  Max is such a good sport :)

- Dancing.

- Happy.  Full of laughs.  Full of smiles.

Happy ten months, sweet boy!  We love you so so much!

Friday Photo Dump

Last month the hubs and I (along with some of the Branca crew) went to Winter Jam up in Tampa.  For those of you who may not be familiar with Winter Jam, it's a Christian concert with a ton of talented performers.  With performers like Toby Mac, Sidewalk Prophets, Matthew West, and NewSong, I knew it would be a great concert.  I mentioned it to the hubs and surprisingly he offered to go, even though we had to make a pact.  The deal was ... he'd go to the concert, if I went to the gun range with him.  Deal.

We made it to the gun range last week and I learned how to shoot a 9mm.  I wouldn't say I'm completely comfortable with it yet, so I would like to try it again.  (Hear that Jim?!)  If I'd ever need to use this gun in self defense, I need to feel 100% confident with the gun ... and myself.

In other news, I've been busy crafting.  I finally made a wooden sign for our home that displays the rules that our family follows.  I found the idea on Pinterest and had been wanting to try it for quite some time.  I love it!  I also used a Pinterest idea to create adorable Valentine's for Abby's classmates.

A sickness has also swept through our house ... Levi started on Tuesday with a fever, horrible cough, and congestion.  His fever finally broke yesterday and was feeling more like himself.  Today however, he is very uncomfortable due to the congestion.  We just got back from our second visit to the doctor ... Poor guy! Abby has picked up the cough, but praying that is all.

Thinking fresh air would do everyone good, I took the kids to the park yesterday.  Abby had fun playing with new friends and Levi took a cat nap in the swing.  Isn't that just too cute?!  We then spent much of the afternoon outside ... seems everyone was happier in the sunshine! :)

Praying for a relaxing weekend ... I'm ready to say goodbye to sickness and hello to beautiful weather!

Happy Friday! :)

This year ... we went BIG.

It's somehow become our annual tradition.  Scrumptious food.  Amazing cake.  Decorations.  Awesome friends.  Football.  Yelling.  Cheering.  Commercials.  SUPER BOWL!

Our parties started off really small back at our old house on Olive Avenue.  Less than twenty people, pot luck style food, board games, and football.  Each year the parties just kept getting bigger but one thing stayed the same ... our awesome friends kept coming, making our parties such a fun time!

This year we had about seventy people, scrumptious food catered by Polo Grill, an amazing cake (and helmet topped cake pops as favors) by the super talented Lindsay at Pastries by Design, and a photo booth that may or may not have been the most fun of the evening.

Since the Super Bowl was in New Orleans this year, of course we went with a Mardi Gras theme.  Why not make it bright, colorful, festive, all the while still using purple for the Ravens?!  Perfect.  I had a ton of help from super crafty and creative Sam.  We made all the decorations using masks, beads, and feathers.  Everything turned out super cute!

We had a great time hosting such a fun party.  We really enjoyed catching up with everyone and having some kid free time with our friends!

Will the photo booth become a tradition?  Absolutely.  It just kept getting crazier and more fun as the night went on :)

The next day ... after the party was all done, everyone kept thanking us for such a wonderful party.  But I'm pretty sure we should be thanking you because our friends are what made the party such a blast! So THANK YOU and see you next year! :)
