Happy 2 months, Levi!

I can't believe how fast Levi is growing up ... already two months old and such a big boy!  With each new day seems to bring a happier little baby.  Up until the eight week mark, he was quite the fussy baby.  We switched formulas, tried a number of things to help Levi sleep, and in general had to deal with a lot of crying.  But, I'm so happy to say we've finally turned a corner!!

Levi has become easier and more predictable now that he's on more of a schedule.  His days are full of little cycles... wake, eat, play, sleep.  His playtime is increasing each day and he's extremely alert when he's awake.  He looks around making cooing sounds, which are to die for and smiles that melt your heart. all. day. long.

At two months, Little Man is weighing in at 12 pounds 5 ounces and is 24 inches tall.  He's gonna be tall like his Daddy ... who knew?!  He's eating like a champ, drinking about 6-7 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day.  Thankfully he is sleeping longer at night and isn't staying awake to party for three hours straight.  I usually feed him around 8 and he is asleep around 9, 10 at the latest.  He'll then wake once to eat and then be up for the day around 7 or 8.  We're getting there ... although I'd really like him to be sleeping in his crib, not the rock n play.  But for now... I'll take sleep however I can get it! :)

Just like his big sister, Levi is favoring his right side and the muscles in his neck have become really weak.  With this comes the flattening of the head and his ears are a bit asymmetrical right now.  The pediatrician recommended physical therapy to help him regain strength in his left side and to aid his head back to its round shape.  We'll be starting that up sometime next week.  Thankfully the cranial specialist expects physical therapy will decrease the chance of him wearing a helmet.  Yay!

Even with the craziness that two children bring, I thank God each day for the blessings in my life.  It just wouldn't be the same without them! :)
