For those of you that know Abby, you are well aware that she is musically driven. She absolutely loves music and stops dead in her tracks to dance to any tune she hears. Music has always been her "thing" and so we enjoy dancing around, singing songs together, and having parades around the living room with her musical instruments. But today, her Daddy took music to the next level. Daddy bought Abby her first guitar. Not just a baby toy guitar, a real, Abby sized guitar.
And of course, Abby loves it. She dances around strumming and tapping her feet to the music. It's definitely her new favorite toy and I don't see her putting it down anytime soon. Maybe after all this practice she'll be the next Taylor Swift. Who knows... but I sure hope music stays in her heart forever.
While Abby strummed away, Little Man started playing in his new toy too. Levi is now strong enough to sit in his bumbo seat and he loves it! He gets to explore the world in a whole new way and is definitely one happy baby sitting up. Levi is not a fan of laying on his back, at all ... so I'm thrilled that he will play in this seat. What a big boy! :)

Keepin' Busy :)
It finally happened. I'm not counting on it to happen every night, but tonight it happened. I had both of the kids asleep by 8:20 ... and yes, I'm enjoying every second of it!
We've been busy here in Baltimore and I must admit, I've been really bad about taking out the good camera to snap some blog worthy photos. It's a lot easier these days to pull out the iPhone to capture memorable moments.
I promise to break out the DSLR this week, but for now here's our week in photos!
The tall ships made their way into the Harbor this weekend
for the "Star Spangled Sailabration." Definitely a sight to see!
Abby takes a break from her frozen yogurt to act silly.
Levi and Mommy snuggle time.
Family outing to Hooters, aren't we classy?
Levi tackles tummy time ... and rolls over.
Abby's outfit of choice ... Daddy's jersey :)
Abby and Mommy had a special date night to the baseball game.
Of course she spent more time flirting with the boys
than hangin' with her Mama, but she had fun!

I decided to let Abby try cotton candy for the first time ... and she didn't like it.
Feedings the ducks, which has become part of the nightly routine.
Abby and Aunt Heather cheese for the camera.
Cousins .... look closely, can you spot Levi?!
We've been keepin' busy for sure ...
now it's time for me to get some rest! :)

Happy 2 months, Levi!
I can't believe how fast Levi is growing up ... already two months old and such a big boy! With each new day seems to bring a happier little baby. Up until the eight week mark, he was quite the fussy baby. We switched formulas, tried a number of things to help Levi sleep, and in general had to deal with a lot of crying. But, I'm so happy to say we've finally turned a corner!!
Levi has become easier and more predictable now that he's on more of a schedule. His days are full of little cycles... wake, eat, play, sleep. His playtime is increasing each day and he's extremely alert when he's awake. He looks around making cooing sounds, which are to die for and smiles that melt your heart. all. day. long.
At two months, Little Man is weighing in at 12 pounds 5 ounces and is 24 inches tall. He's gonna be tall like his Daddy ... who knew?! He's eating like a champ, drinking about 6-7 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day. Thankfully he is sleeping longer at night and isn't staying awake to party for three hours straight. I usually feed him around 8 and he is asleep around 9, 10 at the latest. He'll then wake once to eat and then be up for the day around 7 or 8. We're getting there ... although I'd really like him to be sleeping in his crib, not the rock n play. But for now... I'll take sleep however I can get it! :)
Just like his big sister, Levi is favoring his right side and the muscles in his neck have become really weak. With this comes the flattening of the head and his ears are a bit asymmetrical right now. The pediatrician recommended physical therapy to help him regain strength in his left side and to aid his head back to its round shape. We'll be starting that up sometime next week. Thankfully the cranial specialist expects physical therapy will decrease the chance of him wearing a helmet. Yay!
Even with the craziness that two children bring, I thank God each day for the blessings in my life. It just wouldn't be the same without them! :)

Our week in pictures :)
Two Sundays ago, the hubs left for one of the longest road trips of the season. I'm happy to say that this twelve day road trip is almost over! Since it was one of the longer ones, I decided to head down to my parents house for a break from city living. Time to relax (wait, what does that word mean?) and spend some time in the country surrounded by family.
We spent our days outside enjoying beautiful weather. Playing with the water sprinkler, taking naps in the hammock (well Abby did anyways), and having adventures at new playgrounds.
It's been fun, but I've also had some ups and downs these past few weeks. More to come on that in another post, when I have more time to write. I say it every baseball season, but we are so blessed to be this close to family. They are my support system and much needed this year more than ever before.
Our week recap... Abby napped in the hammock.
Levi turned two months old!
Abby played in the sprinkler with her cousins. She practiced her modeling poses at Quiet Waters Park. (she needs some work) Abby had her first swim lesson and loved it!
Levi is smiling all over himself these days. Thankfully he is becoming less cranky and much more happy! :)
More to come soon, I promise....
